Rally for War Resisters. Info: Let U.S. Iraq war resisters stay in Canada, Pan-Canadian Day of Action, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 1pm. Vancouver Art Gallery, Robson St. side. Parliament and a majority of Canadians support Iraq war resisters. Despite this, the minority Harper government is deporting war resisters to the US, where they face jail time and a felony conviction for refusing to fight an illegal war. Join thousands from coast to coast in demanding that the Harper goverment respect democracy and let war resisters stay. Pitch: Why is war resisters still relevant? What UBC students are involved?
