INFO: At the gym I (writer) met up with my friend Jan who was rather dismayed to find out that his laptop and wallet had been stolen from the day-lockers. He had used a combination lock, ignoring the signs that say "do not leave valuables in lockers" and assuming his stuff would be safe. I began to wonder the following:

How often is theft from lockers occuring? Why is it so easy to steal from lockers? Do students understand the risk? Why isn't UBC Rec doing more to warn people about the danger? Are they doing enough to prevent theft?

A nice PHOTO ILLUSTRATION would be great :)
