Alrighty, here's the first set of Photo Assignments for SUMMER 2008.
We're going to try to publish stories periodically on the website over the summer. We're also going to run a "What happened over the summer" series for the August print publications.

I'll update new assignments on the right hand side in the "ASSIGNMENTS" column as well.

1 - { Theft at UBC Anthropology Museum }

$2million worth of art stolen from the UBC Anthro museum!
If you could get photos of empty displays, police tape, police officers, etc. Or maybe speak to a curator, musuem staff etc. to get ideas. If you have any questions or need help just give me an email/call.

2 - { UBC Students Cycle to Mexico for Micro-Credit Awareness }

A group of young cyclists (including students from UBC) are planning to bike to Mexico to raise money for Micro-credit projects.

They'll provide shots of the actual trip while on the road.
I'm heading over to meet one of the cyclists (who happens to be a friend of mine) on Saturday @ Grandview Park to shoot a group photo or something.
Again, if anyone wants to just come out let me know.

3 - { World Record Naked Bike Ride }

Looks like a bunch of naked cyclists. Pretty much explains it all. Just need photos that would capture the spirit of the event. (ie. lots of naked people on bikes).

Anyone's welcome to come and shoot with me.
Apparently Joe (webguy) will be there....naked. Would love to see that on the front cover :)
